Datolite
Ojibway Mine, Keweenaw County, Michigan
Here is another top-shelf Datolite! Best I have seen or handled from the
Ojibway. The dark veining and dark border contain lots of native copper.
Great provenance: Paul LaBonte's original Datolite collection, to Ben Vone's
Copper Country Collection. Acquired from Ben 4 years ago in a trade and
has been in our display cabinet since. In perfect condition, front and back.
8.5 x 7.8 x 4.2cm

Copper Crystals
Victoria Mine, Ontonagon County, Michigan
You will not find many (if any) specimens from the Victoria Mine, let alone copper crystals. This branch of
copper crystals has a deep reddish cuprite patina. I found this specimen in 1985 while metal detecting
around and in the old foundations at this mine site: so you can be absolutely sure of its locality.
22.5 x 2.8 x .9cm
