Here is a very unique and historic piece from the black Oxide deposit found up in
Copper Harbor, where they sank a shaft to mine it; one of the earliest shafts in the
district, if not the earliest. Shaft is now inside Fort Wilkins State Park and can be
viewed. Ex. Seaman Mineral Museum with label. Also, has another piece of history- an
A.E. Foote label is attached to the specimen.
