Case 12

Datolite

Delaware Mine, Keweenaw County, Michigan Beautiful deep color in this medium size datolite that is in perfect condition front and back. Want a really good Delaware specimen? This is it! 5.0 x 4.0 x 1.9cm SOLD TM21-1320

Copper Crystals

Prehistoric Pit, Mt. Bohemia, Keweenaw County, Michigan This is a one-of-a-kind Copper. I bought 5 pieces from a local collector who found this prehistoric site up on Mt. Bohemia in 1998. I traded three pieces to the Seaman Museum where they are on display, and have decided to let this one go. The amazing thing is the prehistoric people were working a vein of crystallized Copper, hammering it into tools. This specimen clearly shows how well the vein was crystallized. Experts say these prehistoric people mined Copper in the Keweenaw 3,000 to 5,000 years ago. 7.5 x 3.3 x 1.9cm SOLD TM19-987

Copper Crystals

Caledonia Mine, Ontonagon County, Michigan Excellent miniature of stacked and hoppered cubes. Very unusual to find at the Caledonia. 3.4 x 2.5 x 3.3cm SOLD TM19-988
