  Copper crystals


Lake Superior Copper District

Superb small cabinet specimen of crystallized copper. Ex. Ross Lillie specimen, where it was listed for $2,400.00 on web site. As with many old-time specimens, this copper was lacquered to keep it from tarnishing. We recommend it be left as-is. White-glue "boots" can be removed; however, we recommend leaving as-is to assist display. We've enjoyed this specimen in our collection for eight years.

This pair is from a find we made in 1977 with Paul LaBonte. This was found in an old debris-filled trench above the Clark mine adit. We sold the pair to Tiger Salotti in 1978; re-acquired it when we purchased her collection, at which point, D. Richards purchased the pair. We re-acquired this past winter.
In perfect condition.
