		Copper crystals pre-historic pit on Mount Bohemia Keweenaw County Michigan This miniature copper came from a pre-historic pit up on Mount Bohemia, not far from the Mendota mine. The ancient people were "mining" a vein of copper that happened to be crystallized to make tools (arrowheads, fish hooks, etc.) This race of people has been dated to over 5,000 years ago by archeologists.
