Marquette Iron Range
We had one of these ten years ago from the Menominee Iron Range that was labeled "Goethite Iron Feather". This one appears to be of Hematite. Acquired from the late Lillian Nadeau's personal collection twelve years ago. Really cool specimen with a beautiful artisan sculptured appearance - the reverse is as noble as the front.
We believe this to be a post-mining artifact.
Be prepared to spend a good deal of time examining the intricacies of this specimen.
